What We Do
We perform maintenance functions for
both web sites and databases. That means anything
which is added, changed or deleted is a matter of maintenance.
Web Sites
|
|
Changed
Pages |
Existing
pages on a web may change. For example, the phone number
and address for contacting the site owner may change. We
prepare changed pages to match the site's design, upload the
page to the host server and make sure any hyper-links work
correctly.
|
|
Deleted
Pages |
Existing
pages on a web may expire. The content may not be
applicable to current events or current situations. For
example, as product page may be inappropriate because the
product has been discontinued. We delete the page from the
host server and make sure any hyper-links to the deleted page
from other pages are also removed.
|
|
Hyper-links |
Our job
in the maintenance function for web sites is first to keep
them running. If a new page is added, then we add the
hyper-link to/from that page. Sometimes links to
external sites won't work when the external site changes its
IP address or drops the page you have linked to. In that
case, we change the hyper-links on a web-site to correctly
link to the external web site.
|
|
New
Pages |
All web
sites will need new pages, if no other reason than to keep the
site fresh for repeat visitors. We prepare new pages to
match the site's design, upload the page to the host server
and make sure any hyper-links work correctly.
|
|
Site-wide
Changes |
Some
changes may affect all pages on a web site. A logo
change, company name change and the copyright notice are good
examples. We offer special pricing for site-wide
changes.
